Can I Apply for an Online Marriage License?
Please confirm you can answer YES to all of the following questions before submitting an online application:
1. Are you an Arizona Resident?
2. Is your marriage ceremony date at least 30 days from now?
3. Do you have valid identification for both applicants?
4. Do you have access to one of the following supported browsers?
· Microsoft Internet Explorer 11
· Microsoft Edge (EdgeHTML 16 and greater)
· Google Chrome 64 and greater
· Mozilla Firefox 59 and greater
· Apple Safari 10.1/11.0/11.1 and greater.

How to Submit Application
Please confirm you can answer YES to the above questions and have read the following instructions before applying online for a Marriage License.
1. Prepare IDs for Upload: Save an image of the front of each applicant’s valid government photo ID (driver’s license, state ID, passport, etc.).
· ID Requirements:
o Must demonstrate Arizona residency
o Must exactly match the names entered on the application
o Signatures must match the signatures on the affidavit
2. Complete Online Application: Complete the online application and upload valid government photo IDs (link below).
3. Sign and Upload Affidavit: Open confirmation email from donotreply@coc.maricopa.gov to download the affidavit. Only one affidavit is required.
· Print and sign the affidavit with both applicants’ original hand signatures.
· Upload the signed affidavit using the link within the confirmation email.
4. Phone Verification & Payment: Your application will be reviewed within 7-10 business days. If accepted, the Clerk’s Office will call you during business hours (8AM to 5PM, Mon thru Fri) to verify the applicant identities and process payment for the marriage license.
· Call will be from a restricted number to the phone number provided on your application.
· You will be asked to confirm the social security numbers and dates of birth for both applicants.
· Payment must be made by credit card; we accept Visa, MasterCard, or American Express.
o Fees are $83.00 for the marriage license, $7 for postage and handling, and an additional $37.50 if you want to prepay for a certified copy of the license to be mailed back to you after the license is recorded.
5. Marriage License Mailed: After receiving payment, the license will be processed and mailed to the address provided at the bottom of your application within three business days via USPS First Class mail. A copy of your receipt will be included.
· Note: The marriage license expires one year from the date issued.
