HistoricalMarkerx14OnFeb.142011historywasmadeintheMarriageLicenseandPassportOfceswhenitissuedanewdailyrecordo163marriagelicenses.TraditionallyValentinex19sDayortheFridaybeoreValentinex19sDayitheholidayisonaweekenddayisthebusiestdayotheyearortheOfce.OnaveragetheOfceissuesdoubletotripletheamountolicensesduringthistimethanonanormalbusinessday.Thepreviousdailyrecordoissuingmarriagelicenseswas156inFebruary2010.142010-2011ANNUALREPORTTEAMWORKMAKINGHISTORYHAPPENTODAYPROVIDINGARECEIPTSYSTEMTHATBENEFITSMANYANDOFFERSMANYBENEFITSHISTORYOnSept.142009theOfceimplementedanewinternalreceiptingsystem.Thesystemprovidednewunctionalityandmadeiteasiertogeneratereportsacquirestatisticalinormationandoersincreasedunctionality.Thenewsystemalsoprovidedaddeddetailorcustomersandwasdesignedtoexpandoruturecapabilities.TheClerkx19sOfceissuesreceiptsatallflingcounterspubliccountersaswellasmarriagelicenseandpassportofces.TODAYThisfscalyear802046receiptswerecreatedinthesystem.Thesereceiptstotaled147893008.PROGRESSINPROCESSCONTINUESTOBEMADETHROUGHJOINTCOOPERATIONHISTORYInAugust2009theOfcex19sAppealsUnitbeganelectronicallyflingtherecordonappealwiththeArizonaCourtoAppealsDivisionOneorProbateandFamilyCourtcasetypes.ThenewelectronicprocessreplacedaprocesswherethedocumentsweremanuallygatheredcopiedandthendeliveredbycouriertotheAppellateCourt.TODAYMorethan780caseshavebeentransmittedelectronicallysincetheprogrambegan.InadditiontheprogramexpandedthisyearandbegantransmittingtherecordonappealintheCivilandCriminalcasetypes.Approximately90otheClerkx19stotalappealsprocessingarenowdonethrougheAppeals.Theprogramhassavedconsiderabletimeorstareducedcostsanddecreasedstoragespaceasthereisnolongeraneedtoretainapapercopy.PARTNERSHIPINRESTITUTIONEFFORTSHASPOSITIVERESULTSFORVICTIMSOFCRIMEHISTORYIn2010theOfcepartneredwiththeCountyAttorneyx19sOfcetodevelopaprogramtofndvictimsocrimewhowerenotreceivingtheircourt-orderedrestitution.TheClerkx19sOfcewasholdingmorethan3millioninpendingrestitutionundsorvictimsthatitwasunabletodisburseduetonothavingthecorrectaddressesastheymayhavemovedanddidnotprovideupdatedcontactinormationandtheCountyAttorneyhadinternalinvestigativeresourcesandadditionaldatabasestolocatecurrentaddressesthetwoofcex19scollaboratedtoaddresstheproblem.InthefrstewmonthsotheprogramtheClerkx19sOfcedistributedover384000inrestitution.TEAMINGUPTOMAKEADIFFERENCEUpdatesonOfceprogramsservicesthatinvolveothercourtscountyofcesTODAYSincetheprogrambegantheClerkx19sOfcehasreleased928035tovictimsandhashada69successrate.WORKINGTOGETHERTOPARTICIPATEINNATIONALEVENTHISTORYTheVeteranx19sStandDownProjectisaneventthatfrstbeganinSanDiegoin1988.Ithasgrowntobecomeanationaleventwherevariousorganizationsagenciesgovernmentscometogetherindierentcitiesacrossthenationtoocusonveteranservices.TODAYInaneorttoparticipateinthisnationaleventinNovembertheSuperiorCourtandClerkotheCourtx19sOfcesetuparemotecourtroomattheVeteranx19sMemorialColiseumtohearapproximately50casesinvolvingveterans.Twocourtssimultaneouslyoperated.TheClerkx19sOfceandCriminalCourtAdministrationcoordinatedthecasescreatedcalendarsandpulledthefles.TheClerkx19sOfcehadvariousstamembersparticipateincludingcourtroomclerksadministrativeassistancetechnicalsupportandcouriers.
