The Clerk's Office has received reports of 'scam' phone calls and emails from people pretending to be court employees and threatening a warrant or arrest for unpaid fines or fees.
Scammers often ask for payment in the form of prepaid debit or gift cards. If you receive such a call or email, we recommend you DO NOT SEND MONEY and do the following instead:
Search online to find the official contact information for the court yourself and call or visit the court to confirm whether you actually have a case and what to do, if anything.
Please help us fight scammers by sharing this warning with others. You can also report these scams to the Arizona Attorney General's office, which takes scam complaints online,
and the Federal Trade Commission.
